1. General Care Tips

  • Handle your plush toy gently to maintain its shape and softness.
  • Keep it away from sharp objects or surfaces that might cause tears or damage.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading.

2. Regular Cleaning

For Light Dirt or Dust:

  • Gently use a soft brush or lint roller to remove surface dust or debris.
  • For small stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap to spot-clean the affected area.

3. Hand Washing (Recommended)

What You’ll Need:

  • Mild detergent or baby shampoo
  • Warm water (not hot)
  • A soft sponge or cloth

Steps:

  1. Fill a basin with warm water and add a small amount of mild detergent.
  2. Submerge the plush toy and gently press or squeeze to clean (avoid twisting).
  3. Use a soft sponge or cloth to scrub stubborn spots.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap.
  5. Gently press out excess water (do not wring).

4. Machine Washing (If Applicable)

Note: Check the product tag first. Machine washing is only suitable for plush toys labeled as machine-washable.

Steps:

  1. Place the toy in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase to protect it.
  2. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent.
  3. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach.
  4. Air-dry the toy (machine drying is not recommended).

5. Drying

  • Always air-dry your plush toy in a well-ventilated area.
  • Avoid direct sunlight or high heat from dryers, which may cause shrinkage or damage.
  • Reshape the toy while drying to maintain its original form.

6. Deep Cleaning for Stubborn Stains or Odors

For Stubborn Stains:

  • Use a small amount of baking soda mixed with water to form a paste. Apply to the stain, then wipe clean with a damp cloth.

For Odors:

  • Sprinkle baking soda over the toy, let it sit for a few hours, then brush or vacuum it off.

7. Special Care for Delicate or Electronic Toys

  • For plush toys with electronic components (e.g., sound or lights), surface cleaning with a damp cloth is recommended. Avoid immersing these toys in water.
